Founded in 1975, the Beaconsfield Bluefins Swim Club has a long history on the West Island. As a parent-run club, the Bluefins have provided a unique alternative for swimmers to grow and develop from the Beginner to the Senior National swimmer. Our experienced coaching staff provide a training program that stresses the techniques of swimming in a fun, safe and supportive environment.
Our objective is to develop a winning attitude through dedication and discipline, enabling each participant to reach their full potential as a competitive swimmer. Everybody is a WINNER at the Bluefins Swim Club because building self-esteem in every athlete is a priority for our club.
Thomas Kindler, the Bluefins head coach, brings to the club a wealth of swimming experience, both as a coach with the McGill University and CNPPO teams plus as an elite athlete, on the Canadian National Swimming Team from 2000-2003, 2005-2006 and 2009. Along with Thomas and his dedicated coaching staff, we look forward to an exciting new season in the true spirit of the Beaconsfield Bluefins Swim Club.
The Bluefins Swim Club is a private organization that relies on the support and involvement of its members. Our family atmosphere provides a stress-free environment in which children can develop at their own pace while enjoying the great sport of swimming.
The Bluefins Swim Club offers both competitive and non-competitive swimming programs from our main pool, located in the Beaconsfield Recreation Center. Our most senior athletes are nationally-ranked competitors, and yet the club also offers attractive programs for all calibers of competitive swimmers from the ages of 5 to 25 years of age.
